 casey shepardcasey was born into a catholic family as the youngest child of a family of four. her older brother daley was born ### of years before her. she was born on july 7th, 1989 in humboldt county, arcata. growing up in a family where she was forced to go to church every week and sit through lectures she didn't want to hear turned her off from religion and she found herself denying the existence of god when she was in her teens. she continued to go because she was forced to but the experiences she got from growing up in the family effected her immensely. she decided after high school to look into christianity herself and found that the religion and message of the bible was far (in her opinion) from what she'd been taught growing up. much to her father's dismay, she became a vegetarian at the age of 12 because something inside of her made her feel bad about eating animals (especially the cute ones). she has no problem with other people eating meat and is not the type to get into other's faces about it; she just asks she doesn't get crap for being a vegetarian in turn. not that her brother listens. other than the religion struggles, casey found her childhood to be easy and normal. she had her group of friends and she had a constant line of boyfriends during her teen years because she was definitely the boy crazy type. she grew out of that stage in her senior year, realizing she needed to find herself and independence before she fell into the trap of thinking she needed a boy to complete her. wanting to do something important with her life, casey decided to become a nurse. becoming a doctor seemed like way too much work and casey wasn't prepared for that much school and definitely didn't want her parents to feel obliged to pay for that much education. nursing seemed perfect so she enrolled in the nursing program at humboldt state after graduating and has been working hard to conquer the classes and get a good job at the hospital in arcata. she currently lives with 2 other girls and is working at the mall in a popular clothing store to pay rent.
